When your other half cheats on you it can be devastating. You do not know how to move on from the relationship or let go of the pain the other person caused you. Here are 5 ways you can deal, when put in this horrible situation!

Its not YOUR fault– When people get cheated on they tend to internalise the situation. YOU DID NOT CHEAT and YOU ARE NOT TO BLAME! You will never know the true reason why someone did this, no matter what they say to you. Just because someone did not value the commitment you’ll shared does not mean that YOU are not VALUABLE. This is something THEY need to work on.

Accept– Accept the situation. We tend to live in our idealistic thoughts. We replay how things used to be and tell ourselves that things can be the same. WRONG! Once trust is broken it takes time to gain back. You will never be able to have exactly what you had before. Whether you decide to stay with this person or not, is up to you. However, keep in mind that something new has to be formed and that can only happen by letting go of what you HAD.

Don’t rebound– Do not rebound or retaliate! Cuts and scars need time to heal. Take this time to spend time with yourself. Do not rush into anything; it won’t make the pain Stop!

Forgive– Learn to forgive. Not everyone has the same values and morals as you. This doesn’t make them a bad person. However, this makes them a person that is not right for YOU. You deserve to be with someone that respects you and mirrors the core you. Forgive them for not being able to be good enough for YOU and give yourself a chance to find someone who IS.

Believe- Lastly, don’t lose faith! I know it hurts but you won’t feel this miserable a few months from now. The best part about scars is that eventually they DO heal. Believe you will find someone that deserves all of you and won’t let you down. When you do, trust me, they’ll be worth the wait.

 AND What about justice you ask? You’re not God. You don’t have to stoop to someone’s level for them to understand the pain you were caused.

Remember, What goes around ALWAYS has a funny way of coming..
