WELLBEING

When it comes to relationships, it can be difficult to be with someone and make sure that you are still YOU. Your priorities change and everything you do is, shared. Here are 5 ways that you can ensure your identity is kept ‘ in check’.

  1.  Remember your goals: Women tend to make men the number one priority in a relationship. A relationship should be one of your top 5 priorities. Your number one priority should only be YOU. Think about this for a second. If your priority is you, that would include, your friends, family, your job, you’re hobbies and your significant other.
  2. Never forget your friends– Women tend to forget making time for their friends when they are in relationships. However, for some reason if that relationship doesn’t work out they immediately expect those very friends to pick up all the pieces. Don’t take things for granted and make time for the people you love.
  3. Say how you feel– A lot of women in relationships also tend to ‘hold back’ how they truly feel. They want to conform to an image that they think their man will like better. Remember, he asked YOU out. He already likes who you are. All you have to do, is just be HER.
  4. Am I happy?- Every once in a while ask yourself if you are happy in your relationship, if you are achieving your goals and making time for the people you love. By doing this you keep a mental checklist of your own well-being. Remember a lot of people love you for who you are. Only you are responsible in making sure she lives on forever.
